Why journaling?
The benefits of journaling
Psychologists and researchers have been backing journaling for decades, and it's not because it looks good on a bedside table.
Writing things down – especially by hand – can:
- calm the nervous system
- reduce mental clutter
- boost emotional clarity
- ease stress and anxiety
- improve sleep
- improve immune function (yes, really)
And you don’t need to write a novel to feel the benefits. A few minutes is enough.
Why Prompts?
How journal prompts help
Fleck journal prompts give you just enough structure to get started, and none of the pressure.
The prompts are designed to help you:
- Calm your nervous system
- Notice and celebrate the wins
- Get to know yourself better
- Figure out what's keeping you stuck
- Visualise the life you want
It's a small ritual for moments when you need to come back to yourself, whether you’ve got ten minutes or one.
Why Fleck?
The story behind the Fleck Deck
There are millions of prompts online. But when you're busy and burnt out what you need is less choice, less distraction, and more romance.
The Fleck Deck is intentionally:
- Curated to include 50 *genuinely* useful prompts
- Designed to overcome the obstacle of starting
- Completely screen free
- Beautiful to touch, hold and use
Because us mums deserve a bit of beauty in amongst the chaos.
About the founder
I’m Anna – mum, writer, editor, lifelong journaler, and founder of Fleck.
Fleck was born because I desperately needed it.
My second baby didn’t sleep and life became a blur of sleepless nights, toddler chaos, and a mind that wouldn’t stop racing.
Eventually, I discovered journal prompts. It wasn’t much, but it felt like a form of therapy in a period when I didn't have the mental capacity or time to organise actual therapy.
A few minutes of writing helped me find perspective, calm, sometimes even clarity.
Today, Fleck is built around the belief that journaling can be as grounding as breathwork, as accessible as a cup of tea, and as healing as a deep conversation – with yourself.
